How about a golden crab with Hephaestus-inspired appendages? (A sword, a hammer, an anvil, …) Like a crab leg, but with a hammer at the end. Marionette control?
I googled TOGOLOS to begin a brain storming session and I recommend it if you have the time. If you don't, it directs you to a review of a turkey avocado sandwich purchased at a Togo's in Los Altos.
Also, I like Jack's multiple arm idea because it gives Johnny a chance to chop them off one at a time, and that's always dramatic. Can crabs stand on their hind legs? Can Togolos stand on his hind legs?
i was just pitching to dillon a togolos character that is a talking sandwich. he's a deity reincarnated as a sandwich. he gives really good tactical advise to the crew, but the weary men have a hard time listening seeing as they haven't had much to eat lately. after the advise is given Togolos offers his body to the men. they divide him equally. maybe he's a crab sandwich?
You'll never believe the amazing stuff that comes up when you google image Snaga. Do you mean the LOR Snaga? Or the ICP looking guys playing LARP. Even if you cross c3po and Snaga, multiple arms are still on the table right? Maybe he can grow in size AND grow arms. I thought with a name like Togolos that he would be big and fearsome. Big and fearsome like a turkey avocado sandwich from Los Altos. I don't know why I find that so amusing.
Well, Togolos starts small, and then grows bigger as he gets madder. I love the idea of him sprouting more arms as he grows. Maybe he should be kinda cute at first, and get meaner looking as he gets bigger? That's a pretty ambitious effects sequence there.

In regards to the size of Togolos, I might have also been swayed by Phil Steve calling him the mighty TOGOLOS.
