" ACT I
scene 1
opening song(goin back home?)
Johnny out on the town on some errand for his dad, the village blacksmith. He waves goodbye to his dad and We see lots of scenes of village life like wine making, bean counting, philosophers debating, plate breaking, whatever. Johnny crashes into all of these scenes, sings a bit and moves on. Everyone loves Johnny. there is a big commotion at the end of the song, due to rumors of a rogue man-killing beast that is terrorizing the area. johnny leaves to investigate.
scene 2
johnny reaches the beast's lair and as he does, the beast leaps out of nowhere at him. johnny dodges the beast a few times and eventually attacks while the beast is on its hind legs. johnny grapples with the beast for a while, gets taken down and has to dodge the beast's bite attacks before gaining the upper hand with an elaborate sweep. he then breaks the beast's neck with a front headlock. he roars in triumph.
scene 3
the king (or queen), the prince, the royal advisors are addressing the crowd , praising johnny for his bravery in slaying the beast. they present him with an award, and send him on his way. then they retire to the royal chamber.
scene 4
in the royal chamber , the king(or queen) talks to the prince and the advisors about the inevitable spartan attack. one of the philosophers suggests the bouzouki, and the advisors are dispatched to get the bouzouki expert. the king then discusses with the prince and a couple of advisors the truth behind the beast's presence, which was to keep the village in fear. they stop discussing when the advisors return with the bouzouki expert, who lays it on the line about the bouzouki and it's powers. it was forged by hephaestos as a gift to mankind,, should they be worthy. if played by a great hero, it will bring peace to the world forever. it has never been found, but is rumored to be housed in a temple on a mysterious island. the king and prince exchange glances and the prince suggests a contest to see who the greatest hero in the land is. the king decrees that the hero will be chosen to find the bouzouki, with his pick of a crew to follow him.
scene 5
johnny returns home to his father's smithy .he calls to poppadoppolis, who is working on a mystery project. he comes out of the smithy , excited at johnny's return. they drink some ouzo, and johnny tells his poppa about the beast, and the king, and the scar on his chest. poppadopolis tells johnny that the beast is a sign of dark days to come, and talks a bit about his days in memphis , egypt, where he was stationed for many years as a blacksmith/ soldier. that's where johnny's rhythmic playing style originated. they talk of johnny's mother and how poppadopolis never knew who she was. they talk of the lost secret of the memphis edge as they go to sleep , and johnny asks his father about life and destiny and maybe sings a lullabye.
scene 6
the contest of heroes begins with johnny being mystified by all the great heroes. he narrates as each one competes; hercules, herakles, machiste, sam, sam's son, and son of samson, ajax, sisyphus, a mysterious woman warrior, theseus, etc. he says that he will have to really try hard in order to beat these mighty men. the shipbuilder overhears him and laughs, saying that johnny could never win, and he would bet his new ship on it. johnny's father takes offense and challenges the man, betting his smithy against the ship that johnny will win the contest. just then johnny's name is called to compete. maybe a montage of johnny throwing a shot put, running a race(during which, the king's son cheats), throwing a javelin, etc. then he is selected to fight machiste using the greek art of pankration, and he barely wins. johnny is praised for his mighty heroism, and declared the winner. he picks his crew from the heroes, and also takes one old socrates like guy. he asks poppadoppolis to come, but poppa says he must tend to his smithy, and goes home while johnny and the crew celebrate. they will depart on the morrow to claim the golden bouzouki from the mysterious island.
scene 7
the crew and villagers party late into the night
scene 8
when johnny returns home he finds poppadoppolis dying with a spear through him. he says the spartans attacked him trying to find the secret of the memphis edge, johnny points out that it is lost, and poppa brings out his mystery project , which he has finished while johnny was partying, a sword with the memphis edge.so sharp it can cut through bronze. he makes johnny promise him not to use it in vengeance against the spartans, but to use it to aid him in his quest for the bouzouki. he dies, johnny cries.
ACT II
scene 9
the crew board the ship and set sail. the queen(or king) convinces johnny to take the prince along. as the queen says goodbye to her son, she reiterates to him that he must delay the voyage for as long as possible while she puts her plans into effect.
scene 10
johnny and the crew sing a song about sea stuff as they set sail into the sunset.
scene 11
at sea, the crew get lost in a fog. they find themselves in treacherous waters, with the way blocked by many hazardous rocks. among the rocks lives several mermaids and a merman. johnny asks them for help, and they refuse. until he plays them a tune and wins them over, proving his heat is pure. they lead the ship to safety, tell them of the oracle on an island nearby, then swim away back to their home.
scene 12
The ship makes landfall in the morning. The crew come ashore for provisions and to consult the oracle on this island. The oracle is said to be the only one who possess the knowledge of The Golden Bouzouki’s location. The crew leaves the philosopher behind to watch the ship and climb up to the temple. on the beach they meet a friendly Centaur, who is trapped in some kind of trap. johnny frees him with the memphis edge and the centaur tells him he has just come from the oracle, and points them to the temple, located atop a mountain. he also gives johnny the recipe for an ancient drink utilizing 5 secret herbs, a drink which can bring you closer to the gods. ouzo.
scene 13
on the way to the temple, sisyphus keeps having to go back and get his boulder , and the crew get impatient and leave him behind.
scene 14
outside the temple , only johnny goes inside. the rest of the crew sit and wait.
scene 15
in the temple it is trippy. johnny is attacked by his doppleganger, he realizes he must defeat himself to gain audience with the oracle. when he does, the the oracle comes out and tells him where to find the island of the bouzouki, but that the waters are very dangerous, for the bouzouki has many guardians among them is the dreaded togolos ! a creation of hephaestos as a guardian against the bouzouki being played by unworthy hands. Togolos! a mechanical man who has never been beaten.
scene 16
johnny rejoins the crew, and they all go back toward the ship.
scene 17
johnny and the crew get sisyphus, and hercules and herakles and sampson help him get his boulder back to the ship.
scene 18
at the ship the kings son is nowhere to be found, and suddenly a small group of spartans attack the crew. johnny has a chance to cut some spartan bronze with the memphis edge, while herc, herak, mach, and the rest kick some crimson-cloaked butt. they kill the spartans and afterward, the king's son shows up with some story about where he was. they board the ship and set sail once more.
scene 19
night on the ship. johnny , feeling pretty good about the state of his quest lies back and sings a song under the stars.the song is about gods looking down at the earth. at the end of it, he falls asleep.
scene 20
johnny dreams he is drowning , but is washed up on the island of the gods. he looks around and sees huge gods walking by. he asks one of them to stop and the god does. the god tells johnny that Zeus is waiting to see him. johnny is then beamed to Zeus' meeting place where poppadoppolis is Zeus, and tells johnny that his mother was the goddess , Isis. johnny is happy to see his poppa again, and asks him some questions, but then he is back on the ship saying "poppa. poppa...." in his sleep.
Act III
scene 21
in the day, the ship is attacked by a flock of seagulls and a giant two-headed seagull. the seagull lands on the deck of the ship, and the crew have to fight it. eventually the crew kill the beast and throw it in the water, but in the process, the sail is damaged.
scene 22
Adrift, low on food and moral, the crew plan a mutiny. Urged on by the poisonous tongue of the King’s (or Queen’s) son. Johnny soothes the crew’s misgivings by singing something along the lines of “It’s a mighty long way from here to home”. It’s a pretty big number, with the crew getting pumped and jumping around the ship. In the end the crew remember that they love Johnny, and throw the King (or Queen)’s son overboard, blaming him for their misfortunes.
scene 23
at night, a storm is brewing. the ship is getting rocked by waves. a sea monster attacks the boat, and after several near-misses, grabs the boat and smashes it with it's tentacles and crab legs. the crew is thrown overboard.
scene 24
johnny manages to surf to shore on a piece of wreckage, but exhausted from his ordeal, collapses once he gets there.
scene 25
Johnny awakes to find himself a captive of the Amazon women, whom inhabit this land. The Amazon Queen, first sentences him to die, but Johnny talks her into letting him fight for his life. Him against their finest warrior.
scene 26
Johnny and the amazon warrior battle it out, and she bests him, but just as she is about to deliver the killing blow she stops. She can’t do it, for she has fallen hopelessly in love with Johnny. She agrees to help him escape. they escape.
scene 27
after escaping they run through the wilderness a bit. johnny and she gather the five essential herbs to create the powerful drink; ouzo, or Zeus juice.
scene 28
johnny and the amazon warrior go back to the amazons and get them drunk on zeus juice.johnny performs a number with the amazons, they party hard, and all pass out. johnny soon wakes up and escapes, leaving his lover behind.
scene 29
johnny sets out by land to find the golden bouzouki.
scene 30
johnny arrives at the temple, but finds the door guarded by togolos! togolos, a greek bronze robot monster built by hephaestos to keep out all but a true hero. togolos is only a few feet tall and johnny mocks him, but as togolos gets madder , he grows larger. soon he is as tall as the temple itself. johnny attempts to damage togolos with the memphis edge, but to no avail. johnny dodges a couple of charges from togolos, running between the giant's knees, but realizes he cannot overpower the might of togolos, and implements another plan. he insults togolos, making him madder and bigger, until he is so big that the planet can no longer support him, and he flies off into space, becoming the constellation; Togolos!
scene 31
johnny enters the temple to find the bouzouki gone!The King’s son (or Queen’s) has beaten him to it. We find out that the King (or Queen) never intended to save the village, and the whole journey was a ruse. The son tricks Johnny into falling into a trap, and runs off. Johnny now stuck in a hole with spiked walls that are closing in, must use all his strength to hold them off. Eventually he breaks it somehow and climbs out the pit.
scene 32
outside the temple johnny meets the friendly centaur, who is on a pilgramage to visit all the temples in greece. he allows johnny to mount him, and together they overtake the prince, and recover the golden bouzouki. johnny moves toward the prince to fight, but the prince runs away, and johnny lets him go.
scene 33
the centaur takes johnny to the shore, then says goodbye and leaves. johnny prays to poseidon for a strong wave , which comes , and johnny surfs it back to the village.
scene 34
at the village, the streets are empty, all the locations are bare. except one, outside the palace the spartans are rounding up and torturing the townsfolk as the queen looks on.
scene 35
johnny surfs and sings a reprise on "mighty long voyage". he encounters the members of his crew at sea one by one, and hoists them onto his ever-crowding surfboard. we cut between goofy shots of johnny and his buddies singing and surfing and clowning around, and the villagers getting beaten.
scene 36
johnny arrives home to find the village in chaos. he and the crew make it to the town square, where the beatings are taking place. he whips out the golden bouzouki to bring peace to the crowd. johnny hits a solitary chord, opens his mouth to sing, and what comes out is the sweetest sound anyone has ever heard,"love me gentle" .

looks great. But you left the "fake" ending on it. Anyway, I don't think it'll wind up being that long. A lot of the scenes are pretty short.
